Slope of fame
Thomas Vinterberg
Director, Danemark
President of the jury in 2010, Thomas Vinterberg came to present The Commune in 2016 and was godfather of the first edition of the Talent Village of Les Arcs Film Festival last year. The filmmaker inaugurated his star on our snowy slope.
True pioneer -with his compatriot Lars Von Trier- of the cinematographic movement Dogme95 advocating a return to a formal expressive sobriety without more artifice, Thomas Vinterberg has garnered more than 40 nominations during his 23 years of career and multiple awards including the Jury Prize at the 1998 Cannes Film Festival for his major film Festen.
