Bérénice Bejo
Bérénice Bejo won the Best Actress award at the Cannes Film Festival in 2013 for her role in Asghar Farhadi's Le Passé, and the César for Best Actress in 2012 for her role in Michel Hazanavicius's The Artist, for which she was also nominated for an Oscar. She first came to public attention in 2000 with Gérard Jugnot's film Meilleur Espoir Féminin.
She has toured both in France and abroad, working with directors including Joachim Lafosse, Marco Bellocchio, Tran-Anh Hung, Pablo Trapero, Sergio Castellitto and Tom Shoval. In 2016, she took to the stage for the first time in Tout ce que vous voulez, directed by Bernard Murat, and danced alongside Sylvain Groud in Trois Sacres. She recently starred in Sous le tapis by Camille Japy and Le Colibri by Francesca Archibugi, and will next be seen in the film Sharks in Paris, directed by Xavier Gens for Netflix.
Bérénice Bejo was guest of honour at the 15th edition of the Arcs Film Festival.
